Sleep study, take 2.

So apparently my Andraia, who recently underwent an EEG to figure out the cause of her headaches/sleep troubles, needs to try it again. They didn't, as I'd feared all along, get enough info from the initial test, as she didn't sleep when she was supposed to. Looks like she'll be staying in the hospital overnight at some point in the near future *sigh* The doctor told me that they did see some abnormalities, but that could be false, as if she had slept, the info may have been different. I am awaiting a call from the doctor later this morning to let me know when the test will be scheduled for and what exactly she needs at this point. I just hope they figure it all out soon, maybe her sleeping habits will improve and her grades will come up...

...which brings me to my not-so-happy place I'm at this morning. First, I get the news she needs more testing. Then, I see in Andraia's bag the parent info folder, which she told me yesterday she had forgotten in school >:/ Inside said folder I find 4 papers, three have a grade of 60% and one has a 50%. >>:/ If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is lying. I know she is having trouble in school, that's ok, we're dealing with that. She has the opportunity to revise these grades for a 20 point improvement, but then LIES ABOUT IT, missing this precious opportunity. *sigh* I'm sure she'll figure it all out one of these days, but I'm going to go insane before that time comes!!!!!!! Then come to find out my Rileigh is hiding uneaten snacks from as far back as 2010 in her bag! I really just wanted to crawl right back into bed and start the day over.

Instead, I'll craft the day away. Getting lost in art projects always helps me change my focus and improve my mood. I certainly have plenty of DT stuff to work on! I hope you are all having a great day!

OMG I just got a full vision of my future with the homework dilemma! I'm scared! :) Thank you so much for the supportive comment on my blog- I will go on with the sleep training. I was thinking an hour was too long to let her cry but maybe she's just headstrong. I did make sure she wasn't hungry or wearing a soiled diaper. I really wish she would take to her blankie... I hope you find out what's happening to Andraia without further tests.

Hi Khristen

Hope Andraia has her tests soon so you can find out how she can be helped. (Think I got mixed up yesterday and thought it was Rileigh, sorry.) Susie x

PS - Hope the arty crafty stuff worked:0)

Sounds like a good time to get lost in crafting and blogging, Khristen, I hope they do the trick and get you out of your not-so-happy place. I'm sure they'll find a way to help Andraia soon, at least they are attending to her. Keep smiling. CoB

Arg. I understand your pain with schoolwork! My eight year old pretty much feels if he's not at school then why should he have to do schoolwork?! Eventually we get it done, but sometimes it's a chore!

Awww! Sorry to hear you're not having a very good day :-( Crafting is a fab way of forgetting your worries - at least for a while! Love 'n' hugs, Mel xx
