A couple of sketches so far...

It was a little busier than I thought it would be last night. Hubby ended up taking Patryk and Rileigh to his parents house for a visit, so I ended up overhauling our bedroom. Hubby is a 3rd shifter, so it had been a while! It's hard to clean and not wake up someone who is sleeping!

I was glad to get up into the craft room this morning. I made this layout for the Sketches in Thyme Thursday Take #26, Wee Memories challenge #33, and ended up using the layout for my own challenge over at s4u, one of my blog hop challenges. If you complete my challenge, you receive 5 extra entries into the drawing for my yummy candy pictured above. Head on over and check it out! You don't need to use this sketch, you only need to use non-traditional Christmas colors in your layout. You can even do a card if you want to! You only need to use Christmas pictures, or make a Christmas card. Easy peasy!

Here's the sketch I used:

And here's my take on it:

MME Totally Girl papers. Echo Park Sweet Summertime for the strip with the circles on it. Studio G glitter glue in orange, and Cotton Candy Stickles. Ribbon from Michael's. The flourishes were fussy cut out of a wallpaper sample (I am Ms. Environmental, and often repurpose the strangest things...a neighbor works at a hardware store, and was getting rid of 2o or so wallpaper books, so I snagged them :) Isn't the wallpaper great? It is from an Antonia Vella textured wallpaper book, the Francesca collection (of course, sprayed with archival mist.) The epoxy stickers are from an unknown maker, as I seem to have discarded the packaging. Oops! Chipboard flowers received in an RAK, adhered with pop dots, as is the journal spot.

This second layout is the Colorful Creations Tackle Me Tuesday layout sketch challenge for the week. I love the simplicity of this sketch, and chose to leave it as-is for the most part.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it:

MME Totally Girl papers. Bottlecap stickers from an unknown source, they're probably about 10 years old! Ribbon is from Adornaments. American Crafts letter stickers, Beckett font, in Dandelion.

I plan to get more done today as I'm tired from yesterday's cleaning mission! Hope you are all finding some time to craft today :)
