XOXO Challenge #46: WoW!

Yup, XOXO has teamed up with Australian chipboard manufacturer Words or Whatever for the entire month to showcase their fabulous designs! Have you been following along? If not, head over to the XOXO blog and check out the projects our team has been rolling out all month long. Play along for your chance to win some WoW goodness of your own, or to win a coveted GDT spot with XOXO!

I received some fabulous items (some of which I intend to play with later this afternoon...it's rainy and cold here in NH, so I want to stay inside, and for the first time in a long time we have nothing on the schedule! Amazing!!) from WoW, and here's something I came up with last week:

Yes, the moment I've been waiting for: Patryk is finally 1 in his scrapbook! I am a chronological scrapper when it comes to the kids' albums, so this is a huge moment! (Maybe he can turn 2 by the time his 6th birthday hits in November! I know, how ambitious of me!) I used this beautiful sheet from Glitz Design's Color Me Happy Line, spritzing the area behind the picture with Candy Apple Glimmer Mist. See that awesomely dimensional chevron pattern? That's a CKC score: Viva Color silver Modeling Cream, which I smeared over a Balzer Designs Mini Chevron stencil using a popsicle stick. Easy, and so so so awesome. This is my new favorite stuff!
 DIMENSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The title fail. I don't often misspell anything. I am a stickler for spelling, so it is still a mystery why I did not notice that "hooray" had an extra "r" in it until after uploading pics! But if I remove the "r," it won't fill out the strip of washi nicely! What is a girl to do? Leave it alone! That's Glitz washi, Echo Park Photo Freedom gray alpha and "1" stickers, Basic Grey red alpha stickers, and Elle's Studio Day to Day Tidbits pie chart die cut popped up with a foam square.
There's that fun WoW flourish, which I coated in a layer of gesso, spritzed with Mister Huey in Passport, allowed it to partially dry and misted again with Mister Huey in Silver, giving it little splotches of silver here and there to compliment the silver Modeling Cream. An MME Collectable label sticker adds a little extra touch :)

All of the elements, except the mists, flourish, stencil, and paste are from the Scraptastic March Mr. Brightside kit and add-on.

Head over and check out the other XOXO creations using WoW pieces, and get yourself in to win some WoW for yourself!

xoxo
Khristen
