Good evening! Doing up a late post today, only because I had to share what I made earlier! I just couldn't wait (I only wish the rain would have held off until after Rileigh's Advanced Band dress rehearsal so I didn't have to take pictures inside!)
Have you seen the new Camden Town EZ Mount stamp sets over at Crafter's Companion? They are awesome! Why, you ask? I'll bet there is at least one set you'll just have to have. They are good for both the men and women in your life, which is hard to find! Everything can be so feminine. I showed you a nice manly card a couple of days ago, so let's look at a more feminine stamp today.
I used the Camden Town - Female 1 stamp set, choosing the "Thank you" sentiment and the cute little cupcake. What a great way to say thanks to someone you love :)
I sent a sheet of pink Core'dinations Distress cardstock through my embossing machine with the Embossalicious 6x6 Regal Damask embossing folder, sanding the raised damask pattern (which I just love, reminds me of old, vintage wallpaper!) lightly. I decided to sand the edges as well, and adhered it to a sheet of black cardstock with my tape runner. After affixing a strip of patterned paper and gluing down two strands of twine to the front, I added the sentiment. The cupcake is colored with my Spectrum Noir pens (Rose: PP5, PP3, PP2; Cupcake: EB5, EB3; Butterfly: PL4, PL2; Wrapper: IB3, IB1.) I decided I didn't want the colors on the butterfly to blend, as wings of a butterfly don't always fade in color. Of course, there is a little blending going on, but I added back some dark without re-blending to assure that it stood out. I started with the light color on the wrapper, adding in the highlight lines to represent the creases in the cupcake wrapper after the fact. The bow is Flamingo Liquid Pearls, adding some dimension to the image :) When it was dry, I affixed it with foam squares.
Again, poor photo here, but wanted to do a close-up on the cupcake. It was pouring rain outside, after being a GORGEOUS day all day long.
I love this embossing folder sooooo much!
There is the card I just couldn't wait to show you :) Don't forget to head over and check out the entire Camden Town range for yourself. Are you a fan of the Crafter's Companion USA Facebook page? You should be! Head over and like them for more gorgeous work using this range, as well as sneak peeks prior to the launch of any of our stamp ranges. Don't forget the giveaways!!!
Have a great night!
xoxo
