A Quick Faerie Poppet Sneak!

Good afternoon, crafty friends!

I am dropping in super quick to share this card I made last week using the soon-to-be released Faerie Poppet - Sweetest Moments stamp set from Crafter's Companion. How soon? Like.....TOMORROW! It is *gorgeous*, but what else would one expect from Christine Haworth, creator of the Paintbox Poppets range?

I used an old Sassafrass Lass - Mix and Mend paper pad, cutting out some circles rather than the standard square or rectangular mat, to showcase the image. The edges are all inked up with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain, and of course, the pretty faeries are colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. Their wings are done in Crystal (little faerie) and Frosted Lace (mama faerie). Some twine finishes this off nicely :)
 SN list: Mama's dress: IB1, IB2, IB3. Mama's hair: TN3, TN5, TN8. Mama's skin: TN1, TN2. Little's dress: OR1, OR2, OR3, LG1, LG3. Little's hair: TN1, GB2, GB4. Little's skin: FS1, FS2. Flowers: PP4, PP5, LG3.

The image is fussy cut and adhered with foam squares.
I also inked the edges of the sentiment and mats.

There she is! Don't forget to check out the Crafter's Companion store TOMORROW to pick up one of the many gorgeous images in the Faerie Poppet range. If you go to CKC anytime in the near future, look for this lovely card to grace the display at the Bee Creative booth where I helped out on Saturday here in Manchester, NH. I left this with Karen for when she starts to sell the stamps in her shop :) I had a blast, as usual, and can't wait until next year! It's so much fun.

Watch for another post later this week...I have some creativity to get out of my system (and some new goodies from CKC to play with!!)

CCCB April Challenge: Flowers!

Good morning!

It's a new month, which means a new Crafter's Companion challenge! The tulips and irises are coming up nicely here in NH, and I just can't wait! There's something about spring...the reawakening of the plants and trees, the colors and smells, the lack of snow and warmer temperatures...I just love it! In celebration of spring, we want to see FLOWERS on your project. Easy peasy, right?

I decided to pull out my Sheena's A Little Bit Floral EZ Mount Stamp Set - Magnolia Blossom, which I colored with my Spectrum Noir pens to complement the pretty Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic paper.

After adhering the pretty piece of floral paper to the top with my tape runner and gluing down a piece of pretty pink twine, I pulled out this pretty doily, sprayed it with Stick & Spray permanent adhesive, and stuck it to the card. I matted the sentiment, and placed it over the yellow pleated ribbon. Epoxy dots were a great finishing touch!

These pleats were made easy with Red Liner tape!

Do you likey? :)

I hope you are able to play along with our Crafter's Companion Challenge this month. Be sure to use a Crafter's Companion somewhere on your project to qualify for a chance to win $30 to the Crafter's Companion store! Woo hoo!!

A Little Crafter's Companion Sneak Peek!

Good afternoon, I hope you all had a fantastic Easter :)

Have you been watching the Crafter's Companion blogFacebook page, and/or Twitter feed? If you have, you've been treated to a bunch of gorgeous sneak peeks of our soon-to-be-released Frou Frou stamps. These are ah-MAZING, dahling! They are so "me" it isn't even funny. I'm still doing a happy dance that I have the chance to play with these gorgeous images before anyone else, just to show them off and make you all drool. Haha...but seriously, they are so fabulous I can hardly stand it.

So I've been sitting here, doing "real" work, watching sneak after sneak, wishing I could just play a little bit. Well, I had my chance on Friday! It was wonderful! Here's what I came up with:

Isn't she just so awesomely incredible? And with sentiments like "Let's slip into a dry martini," "Let's get this party started," "This one's on me," and the one pictured above, I can use this for sooooo many different occasions in the lives of my girlfriends. I used my 6X6 much neglected Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic papers, adhered them with my tape runner, and finally adding some fun twine for added interest and texture.

She was colored with my Spectrum Noir pens after being stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the following to color her:
Hair: TN3, TN6, TN8
Skin: FS1, FS3
Umbrella: BT3, BT4, BT5, CT2, CR3, PP5, TN3 (handle)
Dress: PP1, CR4, PP5
Flower: PP5, LG5

I coated the martini glass in Glossy Accents, which alters the shade of the Spectrum Noir inks slightly...kind of like a real glass would. I love the result!

Look at that glass shine in the light!

If you love these images as much as I do, you'll most definitely want to head to the Crafter's Companion store on Friday, April 5 when the entire Frou Frou line is released! I am sure you'll want at least one of them (if not all of them!!!)
